Firefighters looking over their shots before the show

The Wilburton Fire Department has been involved in the 4th of July Fireworks Show  for over 20 years. It is currently held at Robbers Cave State Park north of Wilburton. Currently, the Latimer Firefighters Association has taken over for the past five to six years. But, the Wilburton firefighters have stayed involved in this tradition of celebrating our country's independence. The fireworks are shot from three different locations over Lake Carlton. The canyon's help supply the bang to fireworks explosion with a echo that rumbles.
